"Eastpointe" documentary screening with Q&A
This new, 30-minute documentary chronicles a movement for fair representation among communities of color.
Documentary film maker and journalist Grace McNally highlights the story of theĀ United States Justice Department’s lawsuit against Eastpointe, Michigan under the Federal Voting Rights Act .
McNally follows the ensuing movement towards greater representation for all Eastpointe residents as the City Council abandons winner-take-all elections in favor of proportional representation.
